computers not really so personal

So after being a Mac user for about 4 years now I can honestly say that they are superior machines. I had the opportunity to use a Windows PC this morning (an EMachine to be exact) and I have determined that PC does not actually stand for personal computer, rather piece of crap. That is all.

No, I’m not a Michigan fan, I just have some new blue stained glass window stuff on my arm. As promised, here is a photo of the new work in addition to the piece as a whole. This seriously hurt like crazy, and is now starting to itch, so hopefully it looks good. I think it does.

So as Emily said, the Foo Fighters rocked last night. Probably even the best concert I have ever been to. They are such a tight group of musicians, just listening to them play live makes me want to be a better guitarist (even though they have almost 20 years on me).

So here is a video of them playing “My Hero” during the acoustic-ish set they did about 30 feet away from us in the center of the arena. The sound quality is obviously not that great, but hopefully you can appreciate it half as much as I did last night. Being that close was so cool, especially when he talked to the the crowd and the front row of the section I was sitting in. Oh and by the way, I think Dave Grohl winked at me.

So tonight is the night that I have been waiting for since early December.  I got Emily tickets to see the Foo Fighters for her birthday and we finally get to go watch them live.  It also turns out that Jimmy Eat World is opening for them, which is going to make this concert that much better.  I am very excited!

Just so you all know, my video has been pulled off the internet by the Church of Scientology due to copy right infringement and slander.  I guess it was messing up their electrolytes.

Ok. This is one of the funniest things I have seen on YouTube in a long time. I just love this. (Note: please read “maybe one to many cocktails” and watch that video before you view this one so that it will all make sense)

You see what I did there with this blog title…totally used a play on words. Its like that movie Cocktail with Tom Cruise. So how about he is crazy these days. What on earth is Tom Cruise talking about here? This is sad and makes me miss the days of Top Gun and Risky Business. I don’t mean to step on any toes but does anyone really buy this guy and what he is saying??? Please let me know.

My arm is swollen. Swollen to the point that I can’t naturally let it hang by my side. I spent 6 hours last night trying to finish St. Michael, and actually came very close. I can honestly say that tattooing the flabby underside of the arm (almost into the armpit) is the most incredible pain I have ever experienced. It took about 2 hours to do all the shading and the coloring under there, leaving my skin in a pretty vulnerable state.

It really does look great though. I can’t wait until the color fades down to a normal shade to match the rest of my arm. I’ll give it about 2 weeks. I was going to try to put pictures of it on here today but my arm is too jacked up, so it will have to wait. I promise it won’t be too long though.

In summary, if anyone is contemplating getting a half sleeve tattoo, especially one with considerable work done to the inside of the arm, I advise you to think hard about the decision. I have a feeling that if I had known how bad it was going to hurt I would have never started it at all.

So tomorrow is the day I have been putting off, but can no longer run from.  After work, I have an appointment to meet Trevor again for what will hopefully be my last sitting on my stained glass window tattoo.  Just about all I have left is the border of the window and the glass panel that runs on the underside of my arm.  Ouch, its tender under there, let me tell you.  When he was doing the line work I thought I was going to yack on his shoes (I didn’t).  I can only imagine what its going to be like with shading and coloring.  I will post pictures later this week.  If you want to see pictures of it so far check out my myspace.

My tattoo artist just announced that he will be moving back to Miami in 3 weeks. Looks like I have a lot of work to catch up on before then. I will be going in for a long session Tuesday night, so check back Wednesday and expect to see some new pics up here.
